Part-time Administrative Assistant

We are an independent charitable Trust based in Ramsey, Isle of Man. The Trust’s mission is “helping the Island community and people most in need”.

We have two funding streams:

·         Treasury, Isle of Man Government

·         The National Lottery Community Fund

which enable us to run several grant programmes for projects which benefit people and communities in the Island.

 

This job:

·         4.5 hours per day, five days per week

·         Based in Ramsey, with flexible hours

·         May be required to attend external presentations or events

·         Competitive salary, based on experience and qualifications

·         25 days holiday (plus Manx bank holidays)

·         Pro rata salary range £24,000 to £28,000.

You will be part of a small but dedicated team, supporting the Chief Operating Officer in managing the grant process and delivering a high standard of customer service to all stakeholders.

A key part of the role is providing objective and unbiased guidance to assist organisations in making formal grant applications to the Trust. You would need to ensure that terms and conditions of approved grants are adhered to and that prompt and accurate payment and recording of grants takes place supported by appropriate documentation.

You will be a highly competent and confident user of spreadsheets (particularly Excel) and you will need strong organisation and planning skills aligned to deadlines and reporting requirements of the Chief Operating Officer and Trustees.

Essential requirements:

·         strong attention to detail

·         excellent numerical skills

·         an enquiring mind

·         confident working on Excel spreadsheets

·         strong organisation and planning skills

·         familiar with updating social media pages

Experience and knowledge of the third sector would be beneficial.
