DEADLINE FOR THEMATIC FUNDING APPROACHING
The next deadline for funding from the Manx Lottery Trust is approaching!
With a focus this year on projects where organisations will collaborate and support the community in the long-term, the Trust’s theme, ‘Together for Better’ reflects the Isle of Man Government’s ‘Our Island Plan’, and KPMG’s ‘The Big Picture’.
It is hoped project proposals will include;
• getting together to explore collaborative ideas, identifying and
connecting with potential partners
• detail on how a joined–up approach will enhance the proposition and
make it sustainable
• Sharing expertise and resources to make a positive long-term impact
Projects must meet at least two of the following criteria:
• Encourage communities to explore what matters to them and why- then
plan ahead
• Champion the importance of community-led projects and attract more
people to get involved, to build resilience
• Provide new jobs, skills or training opportunities for communities
supporting change and working together
• Support the development of long-term partnerships
• Adopt and adhere to “reduce, reuse, recycle” principles
The Trust welcomes applications from any constituted group or club, voluntary or community organisation, charity, not for profit company, school, college or university, parish or local authority on the Island.
Starting at £2,501, grants of up to £150,000 are available for between 12 and 36 months with a maximum award of £50,000 per year.
Chair of the Manx Lottery Trust, Sarah Kelly, said: ‘This is a fantastic opportunity to really make change, be-it on a small or large scale. We really are better together – as the pandemic has showed us – and now is the time to work together for the benefit of our community. One of the great joys of our role is seeing people and communities flourish through the projects we fund.
‘We’re excited to see what ideas Islanders have to collaborate and help our Island thrive’.
