GRANT FROM MANX LOTTERY TRUST TRANSFORMS VISION FOR ANDREAS PLAY PARK INTO REALITY

The village of Andreas is set to welcome a brand-new play park, early next year, thanks to a generous £50,000 grant from the Manx Lottery Trust. This substantial funding along with other generous donations and local fund raising, has allowed the Commissioners to purchase all the new equipment along with the surround play park fencing.

The new play park will be a safe and exciting space for children of all abilities, providing a much-needed recreational area for families in the community.

The grant will also cover the costs associated with the installation of all the equipment and safety features, ensuring that the play park meets the highest industry standards.

Maureen Callow, a representative from Andreas Commissioners, said: “We are thrilled to receive this significant grant from the Manx Lottery Trust. The new play park will be a wonderful addition to our village, offering a safe and fun environment for our children to play.

“The addition of all-inclusive equipment is particularly important to us, as we want every child in our community to enjoy this space. We are incredibly grateful for the Trust’s support in making this project a reality. Work on the new site has already started with the first stage for installation of equipment due to happen later this year.”

Stephen Turner, Chairman of Manx Lottery Trust, added: “Supporting projects like the Andreas Play Park is exactly why the Manx Lottery Trust exists. We are proud to help create spaces that bring communities together and provide safe, inclusive environments for children to play and grow. This grant is a significant investment in the future of Andreas, and we’re excited to see the positive impact it will have.”
