MORE YOUNG PEOPLE TO BENEFIT FROM MANX LOTTERY TRUST FUNDING
A Manx Lottery Trust grant has been awarded to Motiv8, which will support its excursions and activities project for young people and their families.
The grant of £2,500 will enable a number of young people across the Isle of Man who are supported by the addiction charity, to embark on a range of trips, parties and craft activities.
These planned sessions which have previously been a huge success, include Easter, Halloween and Christmas parties, a cinema summer club, family meals, trips to the beach, and other island attractions.
Thea Ozenturk, CEO of Motiv8, said: ‘We are dedicated to supporting not only the person who has a dependency, but also the people around them, our dedicated family service it is centred around children and young people, alongside our counselling we aim to make them feel like other children their age, supporting them with parties, trips out and being able to participate in activities that they otherwise might miss out on. When we initially launched this project last year thanks to Manx Lottery Trust’s support, the sessions were a huge success for our children, young people and their families
‘We are very grateful to the Trust for their valuable support, which will enable the continuation of this special project, and create many more happy memories.’
Stephen Turner, Chairman of Manx Lottery Trust, added: ‘The activities and excursions which Motiv8 are offering to vulnerable families across the Island will create such a positive impact, and we are delighted to support it.’
This grant is from the Manx Lottery Trust’s Smaller Grants Programme. Manx Lottery Trust has been delegated to distribute National Lottery money from The National Lottery Community Fund. To find out more, head to: www.mlt.org.im/
